Sorry about the delay in announcing this.... Just wanted to get in touch with the winner first.
Congratulations Kevin Anderson from California! The MBase01 is heading your way...
Thanks for all who participated... and don't worry this year I plan to run other promotions. Just a way of thanking my customers for supporting Goldbaby.
14 drum machines all recorded on vinyl... Then played back on 3 different turntables (audiophile, vintage and portable)... Then cut up into 1468 x 24 bit samples.
I have released the the wav pack and also the Guru pack. The Battery and Refill versions will follow soon... Will announce their release on this blog.
Also a reminder that the month is almost over... so that means the MBase01 give-away promotion is nearly finished. Good luck...
Thanks to Dub Studio for supplying such a great acetate. If you ever need a dub plate or acetate... these guys do a fantastic job: http://www.dubstudio.co.uk/
Regards Hugo
PS Here is a YouTube video of the acetate being made. Sorry about the audio quality on the Video... Used a low audio bit rate I'm afraid (there are better quality audio demo's on the product page) :
It's been a while since I gave a sample pack away. So here you go... the Tape MR-16.
The MR-16 was Released in 1985. It has 19 drum sounds... I think they are either 12 bit or 8 bit PCM samples (not sure). They sound pretty LoFi but solid. I have done the usual tape treatment using an Ampex 1/2 inch valve tape machine and A Hitachi Cassette deck.
